This is the address where all prize money will be sent.  All fishing locations must be in waters accessible according to the law, U.S.C.G., and Wildlife Management regulations.

5) MEASURING DEVICES

More Info about Proper Measuring Devices.

All fish measurements must taken using a measuring device approved by JustFishTournaments.com. Examples of Approved devices are shown below.

JustFishTournaments.com may request a digital image of the measuring device and reserves the right to verify measuring devices.

JustFishTournaments.com requires in multi-fish tournaments that the same measuring device is used throughout the tournament. This is for verification purposes and to prevent cheating. JustFishTournaments.com at its sole discretion will disqualify anyone suspected of using an inaccurate measuring device; we will disqualify anyone using a false ruler.  Winners may be asked to submit a digital image their measuring device next to your car keys for verification.

NOTE: If you use a Florida Sportsman law stick/sticker, or if you use an contractor grade self-retracting tape ALL THE NUMBERS ON THE DEVICE must be visible in the photo.  It is important when taking photos that the measuring device be placed above or below the fish.  Do not place the fish on top of the tape or ruler (unless you are using a hard-board measuring device - - see measuring devices).

6) UNIQUE TOKENS

A unique 6 digit numeric code (token) is published at midnight (eastern standard time) on day the tournament begins.  It will become available under your profile at midnight the day the tournament begins.  Your personalized token will also be emailed at midnight to registered entrants.  A registered angler may print it out, or write it down on paper. This unique token MUST be present and clearly visible in the photo with the fish and the measuring device. You may sign up for a tournament that has already begun, but your token will not be available for 12 hours (it will be emailed then as well).

7) DIGITAL CAMERA INFO

JustFishTournaments.com has specific rules regarding your digital camera. You must have a camera that has at least 4.0 Megapixels.  Cell phone cameras are not permitted.  Your Digital Camera settings MUST be set to the Highest Quality and Resolution, and must be in JPEG format. The time settings in the camera must be set accurately.

It is recommended that you take multiple photos and choose the best one to upload to ensure you have a photo that will work.

All Photos Must be Uploaded to your profile in Jpeg format. They may not be edited in any way. All images MUST be show the fish clearly. Both images MUST taken with the same camera.

No image editing is allowed! See Verification

8) PHOTO INFORMATION

Online anglers are required to take 2 photos of the fish with the same camera for each photo you submit. Your fish must be alive when photographed.

1) One picture with the fish next to the ruler showing the entire fish body with the 6 digit token for verification.

2) One picture showing the entire fish body next to the "reel-end" of your fishing pole.

This is a properly taken photo of the entire fish next to the "reel-end" of your fishing rod.

You may take the photo of the fish lying on the ground if you are fishing by yourself.
(The token is not required to be in this photo)

Length is calculated from the tip of the nose (for Redfish) or the bottom lip (for Speckled Trout, Flounder, Snook, and Largemouth Bass) to the tip of the tail (tail may be pinched for Redfish, Snook, and Largemouth Bass), with the fish lying on a flat surface.  JustFishTournaments.com takes measurements according to FWC "total length measurment."

If you use a Florida Sportsman law stick/sticker, or if you use an contractor grade self-retracting tape ALL THE NUMBERS ON THE DEVICE must be visible in the photo. It is important when taking photos that the measuring device be placed above or below the fish.  Do not place the fish on top of the tape or ruler (unless you are using a hard-board measuring device - - see measuring devices).

Photographs should be taken from above the center of the fish. No bending or unnatural placement of the fish will be tolerated and could be grounds for disqualification. Scoring photos must show the entire fish on the measuring device with the token present.  If any part of the fish is left out of the photo we can either disqualify you or only give you credit for the inches that are visible and clear.

More Examples of Proper Photo and measuring techniques

It is very important that you take proper photos.  The judging committee will review all of the photos to verify angler reported results. Just FishTournaments.com staff will have final judgment on the lengths and will modify all inaccurate results. Fish are judged with an accuracy of 1/10th of an inch. How we calculate measurements?  Submitted fish must be above legal limits according to the fishing laws and regulations in your state.

No image editing is allowed!  Violators will be caught and disqualified. See Verification.

JustFishTournaments.com promotes Catch-Photo-Release fishing and requires the fish to be alive when photographed. A lot can be told from a photograph, and we have trained eyes looking for specific clues. Fish that has been in a cooler/freezer for awhile (aka “dead fish”) can be spotted very easily, so please don’t do it.  When the photos are taken, the fish must be alive. After the photos are taken, there is nothing we can do to prevent anglers from keeping legal fish.  We promote catch and release, but we understand that anglers fish for food as well as sport.

9) ONLINE FISH SUBMISSION

Each entrant will upload their fish online under their account by clicking the “Submissions and Tokens” link in the "Tournaments" tab.  Each angler can upgrade their catch as many times as they please as they catch bigger fish throughout the tournament period.   When a catch is upgraded the new photo will replace the old one.  The last photo that you upload will be the fish used for placement or points.   The anglers can view their catches by clicking the “Submit Entry” link (in the "Submissions and Tokens" link,) then clicking the corresponding file name you want to view.  All submissions must be submitted before midnight (eastern standard time) on the last day of the tournament.

10) JUSTFISH POINTS SYSTEM

JustFish Points are awarded each and every time you participate in a tournament and catch fish.  Every tournament participant is eligible for points regardless of placement in the tournament.  JustFish Points can be redeemed for future Tournament Entry fees, and items in our JustFish Store.  You may use available JustFish points to discount or pay for products in our online shop.
